Blanton, Thome lead Phils to win over twins

For the second straight night, Jim Thome homered against his old teammates and the Phillies beat the Minnesota Twins, 6-1, behind the pitching of Joe Blanton.

Thome's tear has coincided with his return from the disabled list and the start of a week long of interleague play...and his Thursday night blast came with two men on base.

Blanton tossed his second complete game of the season, giving up 7 hits and striking out 7 to even his record at 6-6.

Tonight, the Phils send Vance Worley to the mound against Drew Hutchison as they start a series at Toronto.
