If you're a Delaware homeowner facing foreclosure, you could be helped by a new program that sets up talks between mortgage lenders and borrowers.

Representative John Kowalko, a Newark-area Democrat, helped put together the Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program, which sets up a court-brokered negotiation process.Audio Here

Kowalko says the program, established by an administrative directive signed by Superior Court President Judge James Vaughn, won't cost taxpayers or state government money.

Homeowners who'd like to take part in the program can call the state Attorney Genrral's office Foreclosure Hotline at 1-800-220-5424 or go to deforeclosurehelp.org.
