Power outage in Pike Creek area

About 2,700 Delmarva Power customers are without electricity after an animal got into a transformer.
The power went out about 9:10 a.m. with as many as 7,000 customers out at one point.
It's affecting traffic lights along Kirkwood Highway.
Delmarva Power hopes to have the electricity back on by noon.
