Historical marker to be unveiled in Dunleith
By Frank Gerace

Two state lawmakers will help dedicate a historical marker at the first Delaware housing development to offer houses to blacks.

Representative JJ Johnson and Senator David McBride, both Democrats, will join members of the Dunleith Civic Association to unveil the marker at Surratte Park on Bethune Drive in Dunleith Estates at 11 Saturday morning.

Dunleith Estates bordered by Route 13, Route 9 and Memorial Drive, was built in the 1950's on land released from a DuPont trust in 1949.
