Storm damage assessment continues in Sussex
By Mellany Armstrong

Officials in Sussex County are still trying to assess the amount of damage caused by last week's nor'easter.

Debbie Jones of the county Emergency Operations Center says they are still waiting for people to call in to report their damage.Audio Here

Residents are asked to call the county's storm line at 302-856-7366. Most people are reporting flood damage, along with wind damage and debris on their property. The data will be turned into the Delaware Emergency Management Agency, which will determine whether there is enough damage to get a declaration from the federal government to be eligible for disaster assistance.
