Home involved in fatal fire had working detectors
By Peter MacArthur Share

A home in Townsend that burned Tuesday killing a four year old girl, had working smoke detectors.

The State Fire Marshall is still looking for a cause in that 5 p.m. fire on Log Yard Lane.

The little girl was found in a second floor bedroom after the flames had been controlled. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The State Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death and positive identification.

It's the sixth fire death in Delaware this year.
