BRAC opportunities laid out at conference

Businesses looking to get a piece of the BRAC pie are learning how to do that.

Small businesses wanting to cash in on the Base Realignment and Closure bringing
firms and employers to the Aberdeen Proving Ground gathered at the Chase Center in
Wilmington.
Up to 60,000 people are expected to relocate when the technical functions at Fort
Monmouth, N.J., are moved to Aberdeen. Delaware-area businesses hope it will bring a
trickle-down effect.
Attendees learned how to develop government contracts and what type of buying the
government is doing right now. The base closure and move is set to be complete in 2011.
