A Wilmington man is out on bail, charged in connection with Monday's discovery of explosives, guns, and ammunition at an Italian eatery.

City firefighters doing a routine safety check at Madeline's Restaurant found 36 guns, ammunition, 2 homemade hand-grenades, and materials to make more grenades in the restaurant's basement.

The firefighters called in the police bomb squad, the building was evacuated, and streets around the restaurant were closed for several hours.

Stephen Sparco is out on bail on a charge of possession of an incendiary device.
