Jury recommends death for Cooke

A jury gives their recommendation for sentencing for the man twice convicted of killing University of Delaware sophomore Lindsey Bonistall.

All but one juror voted in favor of the death penalty for James Cooke, who wasn't present in the court to hear his fate.
The moment was an emotional one for Kathleen Bonistall - Lindsey's mother.
"It's been a long road, and we are so grateful," says Bonistall.

Mrs. Bonistall was crying and thanking and hugging each juror outside the courthouse afterwards.
"We're hoping that this is the end of a very difficult time for our family. We're looking to start the healing process over again and to live life the way that Lindsey would want us to live," says Bonistall.

"Were you confident it would turn out this way a second time?" I asked.
"I had no doubt. I had no doubt as Mr. Wood so succinctly said the evidence told you his name," said Mrs. Bonistall.

Judge Toliver will take the recommendation under advisement at sentencing that should come sometime in the next month.
"We sincerely hope that for the sake of the Bonistall's and for Lindsey that Judge Toliver will follow that recommendation," says state prosecutor Diane Coffey.

Meantime, Cooke's attorneys are planning an appeal, with Peter Vieth saying they have "several options."
