DPH: "Prescription Drug Take Back Day" a record-setter
By Frank Gerace

The state Division of Public Health is calling last Saturday's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day a record-setter.

DPH Thursday announced Delawareans turned in more than 68 hundred pounds' worth of expired or unwanted medications.

That's 52 percent more than at the last Take Back Day in October.

Since the first statewide Take Back Day in 2010, state residents have turned in more than 17 thousand, 600 pounds of medicines that have outlived their usefulness.
