Robbery at a Newark Popeye's

Two masked men robbed a Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits employee at gunpoint late Friday night, and now police are searching for the suspects.

The 44-year-old employee of the Popeye's on Capitol Trail in Newark was leaving work around 11:15 p.m. when he was approached by two men wielding guns.

They demanded his money, and after the victim complied, they ran off. No one was injured.

Police say the two suspects are both black males. One is between 5'8" and 5'10", weighing 150 to 170 pounds. The other is between 6' and 6'2", weighing 170 to 190 pounds. There is no surveillance photos or video available.

Anyone with information can call State Police or Crimestoppers.
