Hit/Run victim's family offers reward for info leading to driver's arrest
By Frank Gerace

The family of a Newark woman who was killed by a hit-and-run driver is offering a reward for information that helps police find the driver.

Newark police say Helen Yang's family is offering 10 thousand dollars for information leading to the hit-and-run driver's arrest.

Yang, who was 76 years old, was crossing Library Avenue from the College Square Shopping Center in front of the Newark Free Library back on April 25th when she was hit by what may have been a black 1998 to 2002 4-door Honda Accord with damage to its right side, including the right side mirror.

Crimestoppers is offering its own 1 thousand-dollar reward, independent from the reward Yang's family has put up.

Anyone with information on the incident can call Newark police or Crimestoppers, or go to Crimestoppers' website, tipsubmit.com.
