School board election results in

Residents of three New Castle County school districts voted for school board members Tuesday, and the results are in.
Charlisa Edelin defeated Andrew Cherry, Jason Romeo and Matthew Brown to win a seat on the Appoquinimink school board.
Shirley Saffer was re-elected in the Christina district, overcoming challenges from Valene Harris and Stephen Lee.
In the Red Clay Consolidated district, Kenneth Rivera was the winner over Joanne Johansen.
Edelin, Saffer and Rivera will serve 5-year terms.
