The Colonial School District teacher says so far she's got 50 of her former students ready to pick up their instruments.
"I call them children because even though they're 37, some of them, they're still my children; they've started to pick up the music and started practicing. Everybody's very excited," says Acero.

They'll be playing some of their old favorites.
"The good old 'Mickey Mouse March,' 'Wipeout,' and 'Rock around the Clock,' and when they saw that music they held it to themselves as though I gave them a gift," says Acero.

But the Colonial School District's longest-serving music teacher says her favorite part is seeing how she's affected the students--many of them who've gone on to pursue careers in music.
"That's the thing that really grabs me -- they're now teaching other students," says Acero.

And it's all for a good cause.
"These kids that are coming to do the show, they want other children to be able to enjoy and learn what they have," says Acero.
