Lancaster Pike BP gas station robbed
By Don Voltz

Two suspects tried to rob the BP gas station on Lancaster Pike in Wilmington Wednesday night, but were foiled in their attempt to get money from the cash register.

Delaware State Police say the two men entered the gas station in the 4000 block of Lancaster Pike shortly after 9:30.

The two suspects, both black males in their 20's, entered the gas station, one jumped over the counter and started assaulting a 32-year old employee.

The other tried to get money from the cash register...but when he couldn't, the two suspects grabbed some items on display and fled on foot.

The employee received minor injuries but refused treatment.
