Troopers arrest 2 for Talleyville bank holdup
By Frank Gerace

State Police have arrested 2 men in connection with a bank robbery in Talleyville.

Police say Tyrone Williams vaulted the counter at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 2 thousand block of Concord Pike around 10:30 Thursday morning, demanded cash from a teller and took cash from a drawer.

Williams left the bank and got into a gold Lexus, and was spotted by an off-duty Wilmington police detective, who called 9-1-1 and gave a description of the car and its license number.

A short time later, a State Police detective saw the Lexus parked in the 100 block of West 26th Street in Wilmington.

Detectives arrested Williams and LaRon Carter when they came out of a nearby house.

The cops found a gun in the waistband of Williams' pants, a search of the house turned up the stolen money, and both men are now behind bars for lack of bail.
