Dendy selected for Delaware Sports Hall of Fame
By Don Voltz

Terri Dendy made a name for herself at Concord High School, George Mason University and in the Olympics.

The quarter-miler, now an athletic director at a Maryland high school, is one of 10 inductees into the Delaware Sports Museum Hall of Fame for 2012.

Dendy was on the U.S. team that captured the mile relay at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, among her other accomplishments.

Dendy says she got a funny response when one of her students found out how good a runner she was.

Dendy won six New Castle County titles in high school and was a six-time All-American at George Mason.
