'Boil water' advisory over
By Michelle Provencher

Good news for Wilmingtonians: the 'boil water' advisory has been lifted, and normal tap water usage may resume.

A precautionary 'boil water' advisory had been issued to United Water customers in North Wilmington after a water-main break early Friday morning.

Company spokesman Tom Hubbard says about nine thousand customers were affected when the 12-inch main broke in the area of Carr Road and North Cliff Drive between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.

No coliform bacteria was detected.
