AG Biden hails proposed protections for military members

| State Attorney General Beau Biden (D) | Attorney General Biden likes proposed changes to the Servicemembers' Civil Relief Act.
The Democrat, who's also a member of the Delaware Army National Guard, tells WDEL News one change would involve having a soldier's commanding officer send a letter to the soldier's bank to let the bank know the soldier is going overseas, rather than requiring the soldier to provide a copy of their deployment orders.

Legislation introduced in Congress Tuesday would also cap mortgage-loan interest rates for servicemembers, extend foreclosure protection to surviving spouses and make it easier for servicemembers to move from off-base to on-base housing.
