New Castle crash hospitalizes 2
State Police are investigating a crash in New Castle that sent a driver and his passenger to the hospital Friday afternoon.
Police say 18-year-old Ivan Prigett was driving northbound in the left lane of Route 9 near Landers Lane when another car ran the light at the intersection.
Prigett swerved to avoid the car, lost control and hit a telephone pole, knocking it to the ground.
Prigett and his 20-year-old passenger were taken to Christiana Hospital, where they're both in serious condition.
