Health care reform rolls into Wilmington

The issue of health care reform rolls into Wilmington on the wheels of a bus.

The "Highway to Health Care" tour bus rolled into Rodney Square, pushing people to get their lawmakers to support President Obama's health care reform plan. Claudette Sherwood of New Castle is a child care provider who doesn't have healthcare, and is struggling to pay a $1,600 emergency room bill.

The tour bus is sponsored by the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees.

State AFSCME President Sam Latham called on Senator Carper and Congressman Castle to support health care reform that includes a public health insurance option. 100,000 people in Delaware don't have health insurance.
