The issue of health care reform rolls into Wilmington on the wheels of a bus.
WDEL's Mellany Armstrong reports. Video Here
The "Highway to Health Care" tour bus rolled into Rodney Square, pushing people to
get their lawmakers to support President Obama's health care reform plan. Claudette
Sherwood of New Castle is a child care provider who doesn't have healthcare, and is
struggling to pay a $1,600 emergency room bill.
The tour bus is sponsored by the American Federation of State, County & Municipal
Employees.
State AFSCME President Sam Latham called on Senator Carper and Congressman Castle to
support health care reform that includes a public health insurance option. 100,000 people
in Delaware don't have health insurance.
