Property tax amnesty time running out
Time is running out for New Castle County residents who still owe back taxes on their primary residence.
Residents who took advantage of a county amnesty program announced in February have until Thursday, May 31, to pay their taxes in full and have outstanding penalties waived.
The program applies to penalties on property taxes only, not sewer fees.
Property owners must come to the County Government Center on Read's Way in the New Castle Corporate Commons to make arrangements and can call 323-2600 for more information.
