Biden among 22 AG's calling for closure of Higher Ed Act loophole
By Frank Gerace

State Attorney General Beau Biden (D)
Attorney General Biden and 21 other AG's want Congress to close a loophole in the Higher Education Act.

Biden and his colleagues Tuesday sent a letter to Congressional leaders saying GI Bill and Veterans' Assistance educational benefits should be subject to the so-called 90/10 Rule, which prohibits for-profit colleges from getting more than 90 percent of their funding from federal Title IV sources.

The Attorneys General claim a loophole allows the schools to get the remaining 10 percent of their income from Veterans' Affairs and Department of Defense programs.
