New door-to-door salesperson IDs issued
Door-to-door salespeople now have a new item they have to wear in Delaware -- a special ID badge.
The 'Salesperson Identification Card' is being issued by the Division of Revenue. The General Assembly passed a law requiring them earlier this year.
The ID cards must be worn at all time when conducting door-to-door sales in Delaware. Residents are encouraged to call the police if they see anyone conducting sales without wearing the ID card.
To further verify that a card is not a forgery, the names of cardholders are available on the Division of Revenue website, which you can reach at WDEL.com.
You can also see a picture of the card at our website.
