Man charged with attempted robbery near mall
A Middletown man faces charges he took part in an attempted robbery near Christiana Mall.
Troopers responded to a crash on Center Point Boulevard over the weekend, and found a damaged vehicle, and a handgun on the seat of the car.
Officers were approached by a man who claimed he had been the victim of a robbery inside the vehicle, and that he was forced at gunpoint to get inside.
However, surveillance video from the mall showed the man's story was a lie, and in face he tried to rob a man at gunpoint after a meeting had been set up involving the sale of prescription drugs.
41-year-old Craig Brown now faces charges including attempted robbery and weapons offenses.
He's being held at the Young Prison on $53,000 dollars cash bail.
