Two state House Dems introduce single-payer healthcare bill
By Frank Gerace

A pair of state House Democrats have introduced a bill aimed at creating a single-payer healthcare system in Delaware.

Democrats John Kowalko of Newark and Earl Jaques of Glasgow announced Thursday they've filed House Bill 392, which would set up a state-run system they claim will provide healthcare for all Delawareans and cut administrative costs by centralizing the current system.

They say they introduced the measure now so lawmakers, healthcare providers, insurers and members of the public can examine it before the General Assembly acts on it in the next legislative session.
