Bear-area man dies of injuries after motorcycle/pickup crash
By Frank Gerace

State Police say a Bear-area man has now died after a crash involving his motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Police say Robert Snead was eastbound on Route 40 near Frenchtown Woods Drive in Glasgow around 9:30 Monday morning when he rear-ended the pickup truck while changing lanes.

Snead, who wasn't wearing a helmet, was thrown to the pavement and hit his head--he was hospitalized at Christiana, and died of his injuries around 4:30 Monday afternoon.

Route 40 eastbound was closed at the scene for about 2 and a half hours after the crash, which is still under investigation.
