Elderly bicyclist fatally struck by car
A bicyclist is dead after being struck by a car in North Wilmington.
It happened Thursday after morning rush hour at Marsh Road and Baynard Boulevard.
Police say an 80-year-old Hockessin man was attempting to cross Marsh Road westbound when he was struck by a car, driven by Dora Episcopo.
The victim was wearing a helmet, but was thrown from the bike into the roadway. He was pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital.
