Concord's Jacob Biasotto is part of a team that shot a best-ball 74 in the opening round of the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach Friday.

Biasotto and his partner, touring professional Bobby Wadkins, find themselves 12 shots behind the team of Tom Pernice Jr. and Evin Davis.

The standard PGA Champions Tour part of the event is being led by Tom Kite and John Cook, who each shot 5-under 67s.

In addition, there are separately scored events involving the senior players being paired with amateurs, and also juniors who are part of the First Tee program which attempts to connect inner-city youth to golf.

Wadkins has won 4 Champions Tour titles, including the 2006 Senior Players Championship.
