Blue Rocks fall to Pelicans 2-1 in 10 innings
By Mark Fowser

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans rallied with runs in the ninth and tenth innings to top the Blue Rocks 2-1 Sunday at Frawley Stadium.

It was the first time this season the Rocks had lost while leading after eight innings. They had been 25-and-0.

It look liked Wilmington's second-inning run would hold up, but a solo homer in the 9th and three hits with two outs in the 10th sent the Pelicans to a victory.

Blue Rocks' starter Jason Adam gets no decision although he held a shutout into the seventh inning, struck out nine and gave up just three hits.

The Blue Rocks drop to 36-and-52, and conclude their series against Myrtle Beach Monday night.
