Early line on 2010 Senate race
By Carl Kanefsky Share

How would Congressman Castle and Attorney General Biden stack up against one another in a U-S Senate race?

WDEL's Carl Kanefsky says a new poll takes a speculative look. Audio Here

A survey of 782 Delaware voters shows Caste leads Biden in the hypothetical contest 44 to 36.

Tom Jensen, of Public Policy Polling which conducted the independent study says a main reason for Castle's lead is his appeal with Democrats.

Jensen says they pitted Biden against Castle instead of Christine O'Donnell, the only announced candidate for the race, because they feel Castle is the strongest G-O-P candidate.

They also plan to release results of a hypothetical U-S House race between Castle and former Lieutenant Governor John Carney later in the week.
