Fire investigators probe Middletown blaze
By Frank Gerace

The state Fire Marshal's office is investigating a house fire in Middletown.

Volunteer Hose Company deputy chief Paul Watts tells WDEL News crews were dispatched to 500 New Street around 7 Thursday night.

The 2-alarm blaze was under control in about half an hour.

There's no dollar estimate of the damage, which was extensive enough that the house is unlivable until it's repaired.
