Claymont man cuts himself, arrested for false report
By Don Voltz

A Claymont man has been arrested after falsely reporting a crime...in which he was the alleged victim.

New Castle County Police say 32-year old Jason Siekierski of Overlook Colony called police on Thursday evening, claiming he had been stabbed by an acquaintance to whom he said he owed money.

The alleged victim was taken to Christiana Hospital...but an investigation turned up at least one witness who said they saw Siekierski standing behind his residence, using a knife on himself.

Police say Siekierski wanted to have the acquaintance arrested so the subject would stop bothering his family over the money he was owed.

Siekierski was released on $1000 bond on a felony charge of falsely reporting a crime.
