Rocks' Win Streak Snapped
By Chris Messick

Wilmington's winning streak stopped at 5 as the Blue Rocks lost to Myrtle Beach 2-0 Monday night.

Wilmington had just 4 hits in the game and were shut down by Myrtle Beach starting pitcher Rondol Rojas (8-1) who struck out 6 during 7 innings of work.

Wilmington's offense was 0 for 2 with runners in scoring position and couldn't get anything going against Pelican pitching. Right-hander Matt Ridings (2-1) picked up the loss.

The Rocks look to bounce back in game 2 of the series Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m.
