Schools to close for officer's funeral

Indian River School District officials are canceling the first day of school because of the funeral services for a Georgetown police officer killed in the line of duty.
All district schools will be closed on Tuesday, the day of the funeral for Patrolman
Chad Spicer. The district has five schools in the Georgetown area.
Spokesman David Maull says all 12-month employees should report to work at their
regular time.
Maull says the first day of school for students will now be Wednesday.
