Wilmington Police are searching for the man who posed as a cable TV employee to get into an elderly woman's home, then stole cash, credit cards and car keys from her purse.

The man also got away in the woman's gray 2002 Ford Taurus, Sunday afternoon at about 12:30.

The victim told police the man was not dressed in a uniform, but said he worked for Comcast and distracted her by asking her to check the picture quality on her television.

The woman came back into the living room to discover the theft.

Police also conducted a reverse 911 call to notify the Wawaset Park neighborhood of the crime.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the city's crime tip line at 576-3990, or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
