Would-be armed robber flees from locked 7-11
By Frank Gerace

State Police say an armed, masked man was thwarted in his attempt to rob a 7-11 store by a clerk who'd locked up to re-stock the shelves.

Police say the suspect discovered the doors of the 7-11 on Red Mill Road were locked around 12:30 Wednesday morning, shook the doors and pointed a gun at the clerk, who ran to the back of the store and called the cops.

The suspect, described as black, 5-6 to 5-8 wearing a green shirt and with a scarf covering his face, ran off.

Anyone with information can call Troop 2 or Crimestoppers.
