Occupy Del. evacuated over "suspicious package"

Occupy Delaware is temporarily evicted from their home on Spencer Plaza as Wilmington Police investigate a suspicious package.

Wilmington Police dressed in bomb squad attire took to Spencer Plaza to investigate reports of a suspicious package after a small brown tote bag was left near Occupy Delaware's campsite.

Master Sergeant Kyle Rogers is with Wilmington Police.

"It was tucked away under some bushes so we have to act as though it is a threat until we can deem it safe.

The call for the suspicious package came in around 9am Monday.

Occupy Delaware was forced to evacuate Spencer Plaza as a police robot delved into the package.

Police say they take every threat seriously, even though the "suspicious package" turned out to be just some clothing.
