Artesian Resources posts 2Q earnings
Second-quarter earnings are up at Artesian Resources.
The water utility Tuesday announced revenue for the three-month period ending in June was 17 point 9 million dollars, 8 and a half percent higher than for the same quarter last year.
Net income was 2 point 7 million, a million more than last year's second quarter.
Artesian attributes the increases to getting approval from regulators to recover money it invested in equipment and facility upgrades, addition of nearly 2 thousand new customers and control of expenses.
