Man assaulted in New Castle Walmart parking lot

Troopers are searching for two suspects in the armed robbery and assault of a New Castle man Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 10pm in the Walmart parking lot.
The 41-year-old victim had just exited his parked car when two men in their early twenties struck him in the head with a handgun and knocked him to the ground.
The two suspects rifled through the man's pockets, removing his wallet, before fleeing on foot.
EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where he's being treated for some minor injuries.
Police have not yet released his identity.
