Pedestrian hit in New Castle, in critical condition

A man is in critical condition after being hit by by a vehicle early Friday morning near Wilmington Manor.
County paramedics say the 35-year-old man was crossing North DuPont Highway in the area of Boulden Boulevard when he was struck by a cargo van driven by Lottie Schultz of Pittston, Pennsylvania.
He was treated for head, extremity and possible internal injuries and was taken to Christiana Hospital.
The driver wasn't hurt.
