Boyfriend arrested in New Castle murder
County Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a woman at the Pine Valley Apartments Monday morning.
Police say Wade Smith shot Ashleigh Close to death in her apartment around 12:30 AM.
Smith is a convicted felon, and prohibited from having a gun.
He's being held without bail at the Howard Young Prison on first-degree murder and firearms possession counts.
