Hens' Baner kicks 4 FGs, UD downs Bucknell 19-3
By Tom Lehman

Sean Baner's 4 field goals gave the Blue Hens all the points they needed to down the Bucknell University Bison 19-3 Saturday afternoon.

The Hens' first drive of the game stalled but Baner split the uprights with a 41-yard field goal for the early 3-0 lead.

On the ensuing drive, Bucknell tied the score with a 21-yard field goal from Sean Cobelli early in the second quarter.

Later in the period, another drive ended before the end zone with Baner's second field goal--a more manageable 20-yard kick--to make it 6-3.

Just before halftime, Bucknell tried to even it up, but Cobelli's kick was wide of the uprights and the Hens held onto their 3-point lead.

The 3rd quarter began with another Blue Hens drive that couldn't reach the end zone but Baner hit a 32-yard field goal to give Delaware a 9-3 lead.

The Hens finally scored the first touchdown of the game when Quarterback Trent Hurley broke the plane with a 10-yard rushing touchdown to extend the margin to 16-3.

During the 4th period, Baner hit his fourth field goal of the game--a 21-yard kick that capped the Hens' 19-3 win over Bucknell.
