Gas price jump leads to near record highs

Delaware motorists saw the price at the pump leap last week.

Triple A Mid Atlantic reports gas prices rose nine cents to a statewide average of $3.85 for a gallon of unleaded regular.

Auto club spokesperson Jana Tidwell says this rare September price hike should be the last hurrah.

She says experts expect gas prices to turn around soon, and continue to fall for the rest of the year.
