Hazardous waste collection this Saturday

You can get rid of those old cell phones and broken computers this weekend.

The Delaware Solid Waste Authority is holding its hazardous waste collection at Frawley Stadium Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Senior manager of recycling Rich von Stetten says you can bring all kinds of stuff.

"Computers, cell phones, or fax machines, monitors, televisions, even vacuum cleaners," he said.

You can also bring household cleaners, garden pesticides, oil-based paints, nail polish and antifreeze, and you can bring up to two file boxes of papers to be shredded as well. The event is for Delaware residents only.
