Troopers seek hit-and-run driver who killed pedestrian near Newport
State Police are looking for the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a New Castle man.
Police say John Turner the 4th was walking across West Newport Pike near Harding Avenue around 11:40 Friday night when a car hit him and left the scene.
Turner was pronounced dead at the scene, and West Newport Pike was closed for about 2 hours after Turner was hit.
Police don't know who was driving the car, or the car's make and model--just that it should have damage on the right front.
Anyone with information can call troop 2 or Crimestoppers.
