Fallen Dagsboro firefighter laid to rest

| Justin Townsend (Courtesy of Dagsboro VFD) | A Dagsboro junior firefighter who was killed en route to a fire response has been laid to rest.
A funeral for 17-year-old Justin Townsend was held at Indian River High School Saturday morning.
Townsend was riding in a pickup truck on his way to a call when the truck overturned - killing him.
Firefighters and friends are still coping with the tragedy.

In lieu of flowers, the Townsend family has asked for donations to be made to the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department.
Townsend is the first line-of-duty fatality in the department's 69-year history.
