Driver killed, 3 small kids ejected in SUV crash

State Police say a failed tire caused a one-vehicle accident which killed the driver and seriously injured three small children.

An SUV's right rear tire lost its tread, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle near the Marsh Road exit around 12:15pm.

Michelle Johnson of Claymont suffered serious head injuries when she was ejected. She's later died at Christiana Hospital.

A two-year-old boy, three-year-old boy and three-year-old girl were also thrown out. They are being are all being treated at duPont Children's Hospital.

Two other passengers were also hurt.

The crash closed Northbound 95 for almost three hours.
