The Republican challenger hoping to unseat Democratic Gov. Jack Markell has raised less than 10 percent of the money raised by Markell this year in his bid for re-election.
GOP contender Jeff Cragg's campaign finance report shows that he has raised a little more than $60,000 this year, with more than $26,000 of that total, or almost half, coming from Cragg himself. That's a fraction of the more than $741,000 raised by Markell.
Cragg reported spending about $44,000, or roughly five-percent of the $865,000 spent this year by Markell.
Markell's spending total includes more than $300,000 paid to a Philadelphia-based firm for political ads that began airing this week.
