Camden police say a 70-year-old school bus driver suffered an apparent heart attack and crashed the vehicle into a house. He died later at a hospital.
Authorities say Willie Warren of Camden was driving the bus with about 40 students about 7:35 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the bus sideswiped a utility pole, traveled about 90 feet and plowed into a house a tree.
A firefighter who saw the crash performed CPR on Warren. The driver was pronounced dead at Kent General Hospital in Dover.
One child on the bus was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Two other children were taken to a hospital by relatives. Police say the injuries appeared to be minor.
The state Medical Examiner will determine the cause of Warren's death.
